To close out May, I thought I’d announce a super fun idea I’ve been knocking around in my head for a while. If you’ve read Chasing Sound for any amount of time, you’d know that I think books are one of the most valuable things on the planet.
Filled with the author’s lifetime of experience, we get to learn and advance faster by soaking up all that knowledge. Books are great as an everyday practice tool, for using as reference material, or to immerse yourself in a new world.
This June I’ll be starting the Chasing Sound Book Club with Victor Wooten’s The Music Lesson. The Music Lesson is filled with Victor’s thoughts on how to get better as a musician, and is really outside of the box. It’s a book that only Victor Wooten could’ve written, and it’s beautiful.
So what does this mean for you? Here’s the cool part. Each month I’ll be giving away the book I’m recommending. I’ll start at the end of June, and see how it goes! You can enter the contest for June's book below!
If you’d rather buy a copy instead, I’d love to know your thoughts on each recommendation once you’ve read the book. I think it’d be an awesome idea to have some good conversations about the different things we picked up on.
If you have a book idea that you think I should pick for July’s Book Club, let me know. Stay tuned towards the middle of June for that month’s winner!
