I’ve been tearing through Austin Kleon’s books again - this time in audiobook format. One statement really struck a chord with me from his book Show Your Work. Most baseball pitchers are secretive about how and why they throw their pitches, but then you have a guy like R.A. Dickey and the knuckleball.

As it starts to get warmer, and as we hear more and more positive news, I can’t help but feel optimistic for the Spring and Summer over here. Rather than wanting to curl up and not be cold during the winter, I’m at my desk practicing, recording, mixing. All really welcome after a rough winter. How’s your year been going so far? What are you most looking forward to? I for one, can’t wait to get back to live music.

We’re closing out February with a bang over here on the newsletter.

In this week’s issue we have news about where Dave Mustaine’s new signatures have landed, lots of new and upcoming music to talk about, Nita Strauss visiting Sweetwater, and a bunch more. Let’s get into the links!

As I was getting links together for this week’s issue, I couldn’t help but be excited. We have so much cool stuff to check out - new performances and reissues of albums, brand new and exciting lessons, new gear, and so much more.
