McRocklin Talks About the Time Vai Cut Into His Floral Jem
Greg Koch Reissues and More
Greg Koch always amazes me with his playing. Check out this eerie clip he made using a looper. And in more Greg Koch news, he just re-released his Radio Free Gristle album to streaming again! This version of the album gets rid of his funny interludes, but still keeps all the incredible songs. I hit Greg up on Twitter to see if he’d do the same for his album ‘The Grip’ and he said that’s coming soon too!
Ariel Posen - "Coming Back" Live From Festival du Voyageur
Ariel Posen’s new album comes out in March, and to hold us over for now, he recently released this “live” version of the song “Coming Back”. The song is part of an online festival he participated in, called Festival du Voyageur. You can check out his full set, and sets from Small Glories and Red Moon Road, here.

The “shredwave” band McRocklin & Hutch did a cool, 2 hour livestream where they showed viewers how to write a song from scratch. If you’re into shred and 80’s synth style music, you should check this out.
Watch an awesome, acoustic version of Zep's "Kashmir"
The account marcin.music on Instagram has been making the rounds this week, as he's covered Led Zeppelin's song "Kashmir" in a very Rodrigo y Gabriella or Kaki King-esque type way. Check out his awesome acoustic performance below. Then head to his IG channel where he's covered a number of classic songs in this style.

David Wallimann's Awesome Practice Guide
David Wallimann has put together a really helpful PDF booklet that can guide your practice sessions. You start by writing down 3 of your favorite guitar players, and then you pick different qualities that you enjoy from each one to make up your practice schedule.
This is something I'm going to try and incorporate into my own practice sessions! Check out David's video explaining the concept below, and make sure to grab the PDF!
